I’ve tamed unruly words for more than 25 years. Corporate writing and editing, B2B copywriting and executive ghost writing are my strengths, but I help people with communications of all kinds.
Corporate and government clients engage me when they want to work with a highly experienced professional who is confident with complex projects and understands strategy. Annual and social responsibility reports, thought leadership features, public discussion papers, CEO speeches, white papers, corporate profiles, pitch decks, information memorandums, awards submission, tenders — I write, rewrite and help to shape all of them.
I also create B2B marketing communications, and have done so for some of Australia’s – and the world’s – biggest brands. From wordsmithing your value proposition and messaging architecture to writing taglines, client magazines, long-form blogs and EDM copy, I can help at any stage of a campaign.
In my pre-freelance life, I was a BBC TV and ABC radio producer, agency Creative Director and in-house communications manager for government departments and large companies. With such a strong background in B2B marketing, corporate communications and media production, I have a unique perspective on how my clients’ projects support business strategy, strong journalistic skills, and in-depth knowledge of production processes.
I work with organisations of all sizes in pretty much every industry sector. My client list includes medium-sized companies as well as big commercial names such as ANZ, Woolworths, Qantas, Google, IBM, Coca-Cola and Ernst & Young. I also work frequently with State and Federal Government departments.
I’m a member of the Australian Society of Authors and Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd), have a BA (Hons) in English, and an MA in Palaeography — that’s the study of how handwriting evolved. So while my handwriting is rubbish, at least I know why.
