It’s hard (and feels icky) to write your own website
Writing your own copy (especially your website about page) is difficult. You might feel braggy and conceited, or suffer from a nasty case of imposter syndrome. But, you need engaging copy that speaks to your audience to convert them from browsers to buyers.
SEO: pleasing Google is an art form
Google wants to find your website full of engaging copy and with a regular blog (well structured and linked too). If it’s happy, Google will reward you with a high ranking. As an SEO copywriter, I weave in the right keywords into your copy to improve SEO results. At the same time, I keep your writing readable and engaging for human eyeballs. They won’t even know there’s keywords hidden in your page!
You want a copywriter with experience, I reckon. In my five years of freelance copywriting I have written hundreds of websites for all kinds of clients. They include an accountant, law firms, a cannabis retailer, fashion labels, retail giants (Bunnings, Officeworks), agricultural consultants, supermarket brands, charities, locksmiths, an energy retailer, cloud migration consultants, property developers, vets, tradies, a Japanese ski resort, interior designers, hotels and many others. I’ve worked with plenty of design, digital and PR agencies. I have fifteen years of corporate communications experience working for PPR, Australia’s biggest PR agency, working for clients like the Australian Defence Force, Emirates, Telstra Business Awards, Mission Australia, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week and Durex.
I would love to hear about your latest project, and I understand that copywriting is a big investment for your business. I plan to show you excellent value for money. So give me a call and let’s get started!
I LOVE YOUR WORK.
Fantastic love it, love it, love it. It’s the best thing I have ever done decide to get help with you. You really helped me find my voice and managed to capture my personality beautifully.

Wow, the difference surrounding yourself with people who know what they are doing can make!
With the work that Kate has created, I am happy as a pig in mud! I knew my content needed the expert touch and Kate has truly delivered. Kate’s content was exactly what I had in my mind, but couldn’t put on paper myself. I’m looking forward to working with Kate again soon.
Kate from Dot Com Words is very professional and kind. She was quick to understand my needs and right from the beginning of our conversation gave me actionable and relevant tasks to improve my small business. She followed up and checks in and her blogs are full of awesome information.
Thank you Kate and I throughly recommend her to all small businesses.

I’ve worked with Kate on a number of projects now, and she never misses a beat. She understands briefs first time, always asks the right questions, and delivers on time and to a very high standard. It’s an absolute pleasure to work with Kate to develop website copy for our clients. I know I can rely on her to get the job done, every time. I’d definitely recommend Kate’s talented services to anyone who needs quality copy delivered by a personable, responsive, and reliable writer.
I’ve briefed Kate to develop copy for a variety of client projects over the past 5 years. Working across everything from conceptually driven campaigns to snappy fast-turnaround jobs such as eDMs and blog articles, I find her to be adaptable, consistent, quick and always positive with an awesome can-do attitude. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a safe pair of copywriter hands!
Kate has been a breath of fresh air when it comes to content marketing- as a business owner it is confusing and overwhelming. Kate is enthusiastic, reliable, honest, professional and her expert opinion is really helpful, she always has a solution or an idea and nothing is ever too hard. I have total trust in Kate as a professional, her writing is excellent and she explains her rationale thoroughly – arguing the case if necessary! I honestly don’t know what I would do without her. I highly recommend Kate and would be happy to talk to anyone that is considering using her services.
Kate is a delight to work with. She excels every brief I have given her and is exceptionally fast to turn around a job and so flexible when required. Could not recommend her more highly.
“We recruited Kate to prepare a variety of blog articles on insurance for health, travel, life and pets. Kate took a simple brief and produced well-written and diligently researched articles that showed her understanding of our target audiences. Kate’s writing has a natural, engaging style that fits well with our brand. Kate is professional, deadline-driven and easy to work with. We also had very strict legal and compliance requirements, that Kate approached with a positive willingness to learn, and implemented with great attention to deal – all which made my life easier. I would definitely recommend Kate to anyone looking for copywriting services.”
I chose Kate to write my website after struggling to write it myself. I was struggling to find the right words in a concise and engaging way. Kate was a pleasure to work with. She grilled me in-depth about my business, and gave me valuable tips on website structure, packaging my services and blogging. Kate’s first draft was pitch perfect, and the tone of voice was just what I wanted. Kate managed to explain the variety of my services, how ADHD coaching works and empathise with my customer’s pain points in a concise and readable way. She also identified the right keywords to maintain my Google search results and explained her process thoroughly so I understood her approach. Thank you Kate.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kate to put my website copy together. Kate listened intently to understand my services and my way of working. She used her magic to write the text so it is very clear to understand, easy to follow and well organised. I have had a lot of positive feedback from friends and colleagues to say the text sounds just like me, so Kate really hit the brief. Thank you Kate!
